SMT Barakah Soup Kitchen UK
At SMT Barakah Soup Kitchen, we believe that providing hot, nutritious meals is the first step toward building a better community and future. Every Friday from 6 PM to 7 PM, we serve the most vulnerable individuals and families at the Sangat Community Centre, Marlborough Street, Keighley, BD21 3HU.
Our Mission
The Soup Kitchen is a lifeline for those in need, supporting:
- Vulnerable individuals.
- Families with children.
- Those suffering from mental illness, physical disabilities, drug and alcohol misuse, or homelessness.
By providing over 3,000 hot meals annually, we help ease the struggles of those unable to afford or prepare meals for themselves.
Why It Matters
“Feed the hungry, visit the sick, and free the captives.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 5373)
In addition to food, we distribute clean clothing and warm bedding to ensure comfort and dignity for all our visitors. Your contributions directly help some of the most vulnerable members of society to survive and regain hope.
