Reclaim Gift Aid

Gift Aid It!Add 25% more to your donation at no cost to you. A Gift Aid declaration allows Save The Mother Trust to claim tax back on eligible donations. It means that for every £1 you donate to Save The Mothers Trust we can claim back 25p, at no extra cost to you.

By ticking the "Yes" box, I agree I would like Save The Mothers Trust to reclaim the tax on all qualifying donations I have made, as well as any future donations, until I notify them otherwise. I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year I may be asked to pay any difference. I understand that Save The Mothers Trust will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 that I give.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid does not cost you a penny more, but can add an additional 25p to every £1 you donate. When Save The Mothers Trust receives a donation from a UK taxpayer, we're entitled to claim an amount of tax (calculated at the basic rate of income tax in that year) paid on that donation. Once you have given your permission for us to do this on your behalf, there is no need for you to do anything else.

All that is required is that you must be a taxpayer and that would have paid or will pay sufficient Income and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover all the Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year. Please note that it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

The amount of tax we claim will be 25% of the total value of your donations in that tax year. Furthermore, if you are a higher taxpayer, you are also entitled to claim the difference between the basic rate which we will claim and the amount of tax you have actually paid. For further details on how you can do this, please contact your tax office. If your tax situation changes and your gifts will no longer be eligible for the Gift Aid scheme please contact us and we will amend your record accordingly.

Winter Project

For many of us, winter is marked by gentle snowfall, roaring fires, fluffy blankets Temperatures fall and roads become icy and wet, but we know that in our homes we protected. However, for countless people around the world, winter is a battle for survival.
Millions wonder if without adequate shelter, good food and warm clothing, they will survive the freezing months.
In the past 2 years, the Coronavirus pandemic has made winter even more difficult around the world. Without adequate protection and food to remain healthy, people are at more risk than ever.
In the Middle East, millions of people are living in temporary refugee camps or homes. In Palestine and Lebanon, refugees have fled violence and conflict to seek security and safety.
However, winter is a crisis they cannot flee. Without winter clothing or items, they cannot seek refuge from the sub-zero temperatures, snow and freezing rain. Warm clothing, blankets and food will make the world of difference.
In Asia, the cold winter nights put those living in poverty at even greater risk. While Asia is known for its sunshine and warm temperatures, the winter months are devastatingly cold. Temperatures fall well below zero and parts of the continent face heavy snow and rain. For those living in poverty, winter is a huge struggle, and many could fall fatally ill. In winter across Asia, even a simple cold could cost them their lives.

Blanket Distribution
Winter is a major struggle for vulnerable communities all over the world, blanket distribution in countries like, Yemen, Gaza, Lebanon for Syrian refugees, and Azad Kashmir will lessen their hardship and helped them to sleep comfortably in harsh cold nights in their basic homes.

Sa’d ibn Ubadah reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Yes.” I said, “Which charity is best?” The Prophet said, “A drink of water.” Although this project...
