SYRIA CRISIS APPEAL
The crisis in Syria is the biggest humanitarian catastrophe of the 21st century and the United Nations estimates that at least 2500,000 people have died and the death toll continues to rise daily. Half the Syrian population has had to flee their homes, and more than 5.2 million people are now refugees. The UN has warned of a ‘looming humanitarian catastrophe’ as more than 4.5 million people are trapped in besieged towns and hard to reach areas. Syria needs a sustained ceasefire immediately to stop the killings of innocent civilians and allow people to get the humanitarian aid they so desperately need.
Over 5 million people have fled the horrific violence in Syria, half of them children – and every day thousands more terrified women, boys
