The Prophet, peace and blessings are upon him, said,
“The one who cares for an orphan and me will be together in Paradise like this,” and he held his two fingers together to illustrate.
Hadith
At SMT we believe every child has the right to a nourishing upbringing, safe from harm, with access to education, healthcare and the emotional support needed to develop the potential found in each of them. In the world’s poorest countries, millions of children lose one or both parents leaving them with no one to care for them. Many end up as street children or victims of child labour. Natural disasters, such as floods, earthquake and conflicts in Syria, Kashmir, Palestine and many other countries continue to take countless lives. All over the world, diseases and poverty are killing hundreds of thousands of adults each year. Every day, poverty also kills even more innocent people, leaving their children alone, destitute and orphaned. SMT Orphan scheme is designed to assist orphans and orphaned families in the long term via the provision of education to the orphan child and financial aid to the family.
General Orphan Fund
We have a general orphan fund, which is distributed amongst the orphans and their families. If you cannot sponsor an orphan fully then you may wish to contribute any amount towards the general orphan fund. Donate from as little as £3 and save an orphan child’s life.
Our Scheme
For £25 a month you can provide an orphan with an education and all the life’s basic needs such as food, clothing and medical aid. All the orphans are individually selected and when the sponsorship has begun our volunteers maintain regular contact with the child & ensure that the child remains in education.
£5 per month will pay school fees for an orphan
£10 per month will feed an orphan
£15 per month will provide clothing and medical aid to an orphan
£25 per month will fully support an orphan for a month with food, clothes, education and medical needs.
